Amitabh is interested in it for the good opening such a flick will get because of the hype around the old romance. The guy is absolutely money-minded.

Well, the story seems to have ended too soon. Amitabh Bachchan has told the press that the rumour about his appearing in a flick with Rekha was ”ridiculous.”
That seems final. But I wonder why did Bachchan change his mind so suddenly within two days. Earlier he had said if the script was good, he was not averse. Now he dismisses the possiblity. Is it becasue an alarmed Jaya Bachchan frowned on the happenings?

I have similar feelings for Rekha. Sympathy. Poor thing. She is so passionate that she loved only one man in her whole life and that guy ditched her for a great career (leaving Jaya and marrying Rekha would have tarnished his reputation and his future prospects. It would have left Abhishek and his sister with a complex).
I wonder how flag waving feminists would deal with Rekha’s case? Talk of complexities of the man-woman relationship. Life is full of greys; there is little that is black and white.

And the great thing about her is that despite the fact that she did not ’get’ ”Amitji”, she has not turned bitter about the whole thing. She still blushes (according to media reports) when she sees Bachchan at social gatherings.

Yes, I guess you are right. They are waiting for more dope before they fire. Mahesh Bhatt is usually quick on the draw. He was in the police station as soon as the naval guy (Jerome?) and his girlfriend (Susairaj?) were arrested for murdering Grewal.

You are right in the sense that Bhatt has the guts (or shamelessness?) to strip himself naked on the road, if he has a chance to make a quick buck out of it.

That, Vishaka, is because he has not exactly covered himself with glory over his affair with Rekha. Having an affair with another woman when you have a nice wife (and kids) at home and then ditching her is hardly worth an applause.
